I graduated from Body Therapy Institute in Siler City, NC in 2012. My education was informed by the belief that massage therapy touches the whole person, not limited to the physical self. I developed a reverence for the act of “making space.” This continues to be the heart of my work. I seek to create a space where you feel comfortable, heard and invited to listen to the wisdom of your body. I describe my work as intuitive and patient.
My continuing education has centered on mindfulness and working with ease. In 2015, I completed Claire Marie Miller’s “Nurturing the Mother” course, which included training in pregnancy, birth and postpartum massage.
My practice is queer affirming and body positive. As a queer-identified individual and practitioner it is important for to be explicit about making people feel safe and welcome.
